Having just played yesterday, the Ponca Indians will jump right back in to play the Santee Warriors at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Ponca is ranked 158th, while Santee is ranked 176th).
On Thursday, Ponca lost to Wisner-Pilger on the road by a decisive 52-35 margin. Ponca has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Santee ended up a good deal behind Wakefield on Thursday and lost 59-40.
Despite the defeat, Santee saw an underclassman step up: Miley Pike scored 20 points. The game was Pike's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Layla Johnson, who scored ten points.
Ponca now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Santee, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
