The Madison Warhawks waltzed into their game Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They were the clear victor by a 59-37 margin over Valhalla. That 59-37 margin sets a new team best for Madison this season.
Madison found their leader in underclassman Caleb Gleason, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jorge Luque, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Madison now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Valhalla, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Madison will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Western at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th. Western presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Madison in their respective states (Western is ranked 93rd in Nevada, while Madison is ranked 543rd in California). Valhalla will take on Sweetwater in a holiday battle at 5:00 p.m. on Monday at. Sweetwater knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Valhalla likes a good challenge.
