Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carroll). They took down the Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Cadets 75-61 on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Chargers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jersey Paul was her usual excellent self, going 10 of 20 en route to 26 points along with five assists and four steals. That's the most assists she has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Cala Haffner, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Carroll was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alivia Bolinger, who went 10 of 22 on her way to 27 points in addition to five boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Goodman, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 14 points along with six assists and six steals.

Carroll's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-5. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Carroll didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-41 defeat against Bellmont on the 17th. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-51 loss against Angola on the 14th.
