The Indian Creek Redskins will venture away from home to square off against the Wheeling Park Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Indian Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Indian Creek took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They blew past Bellaire 11-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Redskins as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Payton Rath spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, McKenna Scott was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Riley Sadler, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Indian Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bellaire only managed eight hits.
Meanwhile, Wheeling Park hadn't done well against Weir recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Patriots came out on top against the Red Riders by a score of 3-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
Not much got past Delaney Randolph, who gave up just eight hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Weir off the board.
On the hitting side, Grace Tamburin was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Indian Creek's record now sits at 7-11. As for Wheeling Park, their record is now 10-14.
Wheeling Park's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Indian Creek has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .454. It's a different story for Wheeling Park, though, as they've only averaged .361. Will they be able to contain Indian Creek's hitters?
Everything went Indian Creek's way against Wheeling Park in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as Indian Creek made off with a 9-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redskins since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
