The El Dorado Wolverines can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent game on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Sequoia Charter with a sharp 56-33 victory. The score was close at the half, but El Dorado pulled away in the second half with 34 points.
El Dorado's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rosly Ligocki, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ligocki has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Lewis, who scored 15 points along with six assists and five steals.
Despite the loss, Sequoia Charter still got an impressive performance from Jack Roehl, who scored 21 points along with two steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Roehl scored 15 or more points. Fabian Lozano was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
El Dorado is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Sequoia Charter, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Dorado will square off against Ridgeview College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sequoia Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against ASU Prep Poly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. ASU Prep Poly presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sequoia Charter in Arizona (ASU Prep Poly is ranked 96th, while Sequoia Charter is ranked 215th).
