After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sullivan, Cumberland was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos 8-1. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.
Mia Holsapple spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits.
At the plate, Ashton Tolen was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
