Northview came tearing into Saturday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Central Catholic Fighting Irish by a score of 51-39. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 258th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northview's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37 points. As for Central Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Northview Wildcats take on the Southview Cougars at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Central Catholic, they will welcome Gabriel Richard at 3:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
