Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Richton). They blew past the Bay Springs Bulldogs 15-2 on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  win of the  season.
 Eliza Kelly made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  struck out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits (and only one walk). Kelly was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4. She also put up two  doubles, which were her first of the season.
 In other batting news, Richton let  Kenze Jordan and  Brayleigh Parker run wild. Jordan  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3, while  Parker  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while going 2-for-3. Jordan also  hit two  doubles, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Kailyn Ely, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
The  victory made it two in a row for Richton and  bumps their season record up to 4-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs over those games. As for Bay Springs,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richton will venture away from home to  take on Hattiesburg  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Bay Springs, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Taylorsville  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.
