The Tri-County Cavaliers will head out to square off against the North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Tri-County will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.
Tri-County barely beat DeMotte Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cavaliers were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Knights on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won ten matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Madilyn Nevitt made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Tri-County got a massive performance out of Grace Tyler, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Bella Dominguez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Tri-County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .586. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, North Montgomery came up short against Clinton Prairie on Friday, falling 13-3. That's two games in a row now that the Chargin' Chargers have lost by exactly ten runs.
Sophie Welshimer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double.
Tri-County's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for North Montgomery, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tri-County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like North Montgomery struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
