Softball Recap: Wednesday's Defeat Ends Satellite's Winning Streak

After flying high against Cocoa Beach last Monday, Satellite came back down to earth. The Scorpions fell 9-6 to the Foundation Academy Lions on Wednesday. The Scorpions' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Abigal Scaglione led a balanced group of hitters, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 4-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Karalyn Webb, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Satellite's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Foundation Academy, their record now sits at 11-6.

Coming up, Satellite will be playing in front of their home fans against Titusville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Foundation Academy, they will challenge Olympia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.05 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
