After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shady Spring, Spring Valley was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Parkersburg Big Reds. That's more bragging rights for the Timberwolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Spring Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-17, 15-13.

Spring Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Bailey, who had 13 digs and four assists. That's the most digs Bailey has posted since back in September of 2024.

Spring Valley's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4-1. As for Parkersburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Spring Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against George Washington on the 4th. As for Parkersburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Woodrow Wilson on the 4th.
