Columbus Grove will be up against a hot Pandora-Gilboa team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Rockets walked away with a 3-1 victory over Vanlue on Wednesday.
Pandora-Gilboa had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-8, 25-15, 25-14.

Pandora-Gilboa found their leader in sophomore Annabelle Benton, who had six digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Benton. Ashley Draper also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.
Pandora-Gilboa was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Columbus Grove didn't have quite enough to beat Lincolnview on Thursday and fell 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Lancers: they've now lost seven in a row.
Columbus Grove took Lincolnview into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-17, 25-17, 24-26, 15-8.
Columbus Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Pandora-Gilboa, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.
Pandora-Gilboa took their victory against Columbus Grove when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Rockets repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
