Benjamin Franklin is 2-8 against Gilbert Christian since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Monday. The Chargers will challenge the Knights at 6:00  p.m. Benjamin Franklin will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
While Benjamin Franklin's  victory against Page wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chargers skirted past the Sand Devils  8-6. Eight seems to be a good number for the Chargers as the  squad scooped up a  win with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
 Benjamin Franklin let  Matthew Economou and  Owen Fierstein run wild. Economou  went 1-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base, while  Fierstein  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. What's more,  Economou posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in February of 2024.  Talan Speir was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile,  after only two  runs in their last  match, Gilbert Christian made sure to put some  runs up on the board against ALA - Ironwood  on Thursday. The Knights blew past the Warriors 13-2. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won seven games by ten  runs or more  so far this season.
 Logan King was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out seven batters over  four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. King was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news, Gilbert Christian got a  massive  performance out of  Dane Coyle, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  double. The Knights are 6-1 when  Coyle posts two or  more  runs, but 4-6 otherwise.  Zack Linker also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  triple of the season.
 Gilbert Christian was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .444. They are  a perfect 7-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
 Gilbert Christian is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Benjamin Franklin, they pushed their record up to 7-5-1 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Benjamin Franklin has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 4  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Gilbert Christian struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 3  stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 Benjamin Franklin suffered a grim  23-0 defeat to Gilbert Christian  in their previous matchup  back in March. Can the Chargers avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
