Redlands East Valley took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They blew past the California Military Institute Rough Riders 63-7.
Vitela Isaac went supernova, throwing for 289 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in one TD on the ground. Myles Kirkland was another key player, picking up 163 receiving yards and three scores.
Redlands East Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jesus Lorenzo and Michael Berto. Lorenzo got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Looking ahead, Redlands East Valley is taking a road trip to challenge Perris at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for California Military Institute, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Santa Rosa Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
