Mission Valley strolled past West Franklin with points to spare, taking the game 48-31. Mission Valley pushed the score to 47-23 by the end of the third, a deficit West Franklin cut but never quite recovered from.
Mission Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lillie Foster, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Foster scored 15 or more points. Abby Packard was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 rebounds and 11 blocks.
Mission Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for West Franklin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8-1.
Mission Valley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Veritas Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Veritas Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 297th, while Mission Valley is ranked 145th). As for West Franklin, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Waverly on January 30th.
