The Portland Adventist Academy Cougars have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a  63-47 bruising from De La Salle North Catholic on Saturday. Portland Adventist Academy has struggled against De La Salle North Catholic recently, as their  match on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
 Despite the  loss, Portland Adventist Academy had strong showings from  Dane  Petersen, who  scored 12 points along with eight  assists and eight  rebounds, and  Oliver Thompson, who  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and ten  rebounds. Petersen scored a full 25.5% of Portland Adventist Academy's points, the eighth time in a row he's  earned more than a third of the team's points.  Trygg Patchin was another key contributor,  scoring nine points.
 Portland Adventist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for De La Salle North Catholic, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
 Portland Adventist Academy will head out on the road to face off against Catlin Gabel at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for De La Salle North Catholic, they will be playing at home against Valley Catholic at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Valley Catholic knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully De La Salle North Catholic likes a good challenge.
