Landon Wilmes Has Career Rushing Day
Starting off the list is Worth County/Northeast Nodaway's Landon Wilmes, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Wilmes rushed for 283 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 14.9 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now punched in two or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.
The win was the third in a row for Worth County/Northeast Nodaway, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Wilmes and Worth County/Northeast Nodaway will head out to square off against King City on Friday.

Levi Mcafee Delivers Best Effort of Season
North Andrew was led to victory by Levi Mcafee, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mcafee rushed for 266 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.
North Andrew's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-4. Mcafee and North Andrew will head out to take on Stanberry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Braxon Linville Makes It Two for North Andrew
Another North Andrew player making an appearance on this list is Braxon Linville. He wasn't messing around on Friday, rushing for 215 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 39 yards and a touchdown. The contest was his fourth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season.
This season, Linville has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 43.3 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had six rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 12.

Kyle Emerson Has Career-Day on Friday
Kyle Emerson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Albany to the win on Friday. Emerson picked up 134 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 74 yards.
The win for Albany keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Emerson will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Pattonsburg on Friday.

Albany Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Chase Cline
Albany picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Chase Cline. Stanberry had no answer to Cline as he rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 134 yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 73 yards.
On the year, Cline has thrown 14 touchdowns while averaging 103.9 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 20.86 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 55.43 rushing yards.
