Moore Haven came out on top against Donahue Catholic on Friday thanks in part to THAD JOHNS's efforts. JOHNS struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

JOHNS and Moore Haven will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on The Village School of Naples at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
