Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canyon). They breezed by the Borger Bulldogs to the tune of 87-23 on Tuesday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-12.

Despite the loss, Borger still got an impressive performance from Tahqulin Brooks, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds. That was a full 52.2% of Borger's points, marking the ninth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Canyon now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Borger, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Canyon will take on Pampa at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th. As for Borger, they will venture away from home to challenge Perryton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
