Snow Hill has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Wicomico Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Snow Hill's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups.
Even though Arcadia scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, Snow Hill still came out on top. Snow Hill enjoyed a cozy 73-58 win over Arcadia. Given Snow Hill's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 47th in Maryland, while Arcadia is ranked 155th in Virginia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Wicomico posted their closest victory yet this season on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Parkside and snuck past 52-49. The victory was just what Wicomico needed coming off of a 79-59 defeat in their prior contest.
Snow Hill pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Wicomico, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
Everything came up roses for Snow Hill against Wicomico when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 81-43 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Snow Hill since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
