The Gonzales Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the Pajaro Valley Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gonzales will be strutting in after a win while Pajaro Valley will be coming in after a loss.
Gonzales posted their closest win yet this season on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Greenfield 50-48.
Meanwhile, Pajaro Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They suffered a rough 80-56 loss at the hands of Soledad. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Pajaro Valley has suffered since December 8, 2023.
Gonzales' victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Pajaro Valley, they bumped their record down to 2-12 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Gonzales ended up a good deal behind Pajaro Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2017, losing 70-55.
