The Grace Christian Academy Crusaders can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 68-57 victory over Illinois Lutheran. The victory was just what Grace Christian Academy needed coming off of a 80-60 defeat in their prior game.
Grace Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Reynolds, who scored 24 points. Sam Marquardt was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Grace Christian Academy's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-13. As for Illinois Lutheran, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cissna Park at 1:00 p.m. on January 20th. As for Illinois Lutheran, they will head out on the road to challenge Grant Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
