There's no place like home for North Stokes, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Mount Airy Granite Bears by a score of 6-1 on Tuesday. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 12-0 win the Granite Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Elijah Whicker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

North Stokes' victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Mount Airy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Coming up, North Stokes will face off against R.J. Reynolds at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mount Airy, they will take on North Surry at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Greyhounds will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Granite Bears surely won't give up without a fight.
