San Jose hadn't beaten James Lick on the road since April 12, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Bulldogs blew past the Comets 17-2. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by ten runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Juliana Castellanos-Patricio, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Brenda Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base.
San Jose was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
San Jose pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.6 runs over those games. As for Mt. Pleasant, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
