The Cotulla Cowboys's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They were the victim of a tough 49-29 loss at the hands of Natalia. If Cotulla was looking for revenge after losing 65-40 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Natalia got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Yahdi Lujan out in front who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Lujan is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last five games she's played. Anaya Jones was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.
Cotulla has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season. As for Natalia, their win bumped their record up to 11-20.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Dilley the next time they take the court. Natalia will host Dilley at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while Cotulla will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
