Despite their defeat, St. Joseph Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jason Aguilar, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Oscar Balli was another key contributor, scoring five points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Saint Mary's Hall's win bumped their record up to 14-15. As for St. Joseph Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season.
Saint Mary's Hall and St. Joseph Academy were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January, but Saint Mary's Hall came up empty-handed after a 61-60 defeat.
