PASCAGOULA, Miss. -
Pascagoula (Miss.) extended its winning streak to seven games with a 23-7 victory over
Gautier (Miss.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Reginald Hunter touchdown run in the second quarter, the Panthers led 17-7 at the half.
Gautier's lone touchdown came on a 2-yard pass from
Jamyrian Quinn to
Gerald McGee in the first quarter.
Pascagoula went into the matchup giving up only 14.7 points per game. Gautier's seven points were well below their season average of 23.1 per game.
PHS also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 21-14.
The loss comes after Gautier defeated Long Beach 56-21 last week. The loss snapped Gautier's two-game winning streak.
