The Sabino Sabercats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Catalina 103-13 at home. With that victory, Sabino brought their scoring average up to 52.7 points per game.
Sabino got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caden Watkins out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Watkins' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chris Herndon , who scored 15 points along with seven assists and seven steals.
Sabino has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record this season. As for Catalina, they bumped their record down to 1-10 with that loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Sabino will take on Thatcher at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Catalina, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Catalina in Arizona (Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is ranked 118th, while Catalina is ranked 323rd).
