In other batting news, Javion Johnson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Camden Thornton, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Paul W. Bryant kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Holy Spirit Catholic lost 15-7 to University Charter on Thursday. The Saints have struggled against the Trail Blazers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Holy Spirit Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JT Besanceney, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Besanceney also stole a stolen base, marking his first of the season.
