Morris Central is 8-2 against Milford Central since November of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The pair will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.

Meanwhile, Milford Central had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against Cherry Valley-Springfield by a score of 62-51.
Milford Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Christian Lawson out in front who scored 18 points along with five assists and four steals. Lawson is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Stevens, who scored 15 points along with six assists and six steals.
Morris Central's defeat ended a 12-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3. As for Milford Central, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Morris Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Milford Central in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 76-63. The rematch might be a little tougher for Morris Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
