2A Central Carolina recap Oct. 9, 2012
Salisbury extended the longest winning streak in 2A Central Carolina this week by beating Central Davidson, 45-35. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Thomasville moved up to 179 from 224 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 24-0 win over East Davidson helped the Bulldogs improve their standing.
West Davidson's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Dragons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jordan Heitman has thrown for 275 yards and one touchdown this season, while Zach Queen has 14 catches for 273 yards. Kyle Smith leads the league in rushing with 858 yards.
A big matchup in 2A Central Carolina this week will be when Salisbury takes on Lexington. Joe Pinyan's team is currently in first, while the Yellowjackets are in third.
Thomasville took down the Golden Eagles 24-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
