Silvio Giardina was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dom Innamorati, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Pittston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hazleton Area only posted an OBP of .214.
Dallas is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Pittston, their win bumped their record up to 18-0.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dallas hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .342. However, it's not like Pittston struggles in that department as they've averaged .383. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
