Rolla can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Fellowship Baptist Academy out 31-28. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Rolla has posted since December 1, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rolla to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gabriella Bolin, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Yareli Cruz, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Elkhart didn't have too much trouble with Syracuse on the road last Friday as they won 53-37.
Elkhart got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Camila Garcia out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garcia has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Bella Brillhart, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Rolla's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Elkhart, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Rolla have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Elkhart struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.4 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
