North Branford barely beat Old Lyme the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Thunderbirds were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Wildcats on Monday. The Thunderbirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

North Branford's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Old Lyme, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, North Branford will head out to face off against Portland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds are facing the Highlanders at the right time seeing as the Highlanders are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Old Lyme, they will square off against East Hampton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bellringers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
