 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Rockdale County  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .667. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in August.
 Meanwhile, Newton didn't have quite enough to beat Clarke Central on Thursday and fell  16-15. The Rams have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Rockdale County's victory  ended  a  five-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 7-15. As for Newton, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.
