This season hasn't been kind to the Community Leadership Academy Lions, who are still winless after their fourth game. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 65-41 walloping at the hands of Chiles on Saturday. Community Leadership Academy has not had much luck with Chiles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Community Leadership Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Owen Brown, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds, and Bowman Holloway who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Chiles' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Bundrage, who scored 21 points. The contest was Bundrage's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Davis McNeely, who scored 14 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Community Leadership Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Chiles, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community Leadership Academy will take on St. John Paul II at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully St. John Paul II focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday. As for Chiles, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mosley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mosley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chiles in Florida (Mosley is ranked 163rd, while Chiles is ranked 485th).
