The Kingdom Prep Lutheran Wolfpack fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Heritage Christian Patriots on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to the Patriots. Kingdom Prep Lutheran just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Desmond Jones was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 17 rebounds for Heritage Christian. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Scott Miller, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Kingdom Prep Lutheran has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Heritage Christian, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3.
Kingdom Prep Lutheran will challenge the Blue Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brookfield Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,372 points over their last 16 matches. As for Heritage Christian, they will be playing at home against the Bishops at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
