The Commerce Tigers had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Jasper County 58-19 at home. Winning may never get old, but Commerce sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Loss or not, Jasper County got some senior leadership from Josiah Cotterell who picked up 104 receiving yards and a touchdown and Chevy Sands who threw for 202 yards and a touchdown.
Commerce's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for Jasper County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Commerce will square off against Dade County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dade County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Jasper County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
