For the first time this season, Rockdale will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. After each having a week off, they and the Little River Academy Bumblebees will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Rockdale put up the most points they have all season last Friday. They strolled past Groesbeck with points to spare, taking the game 54-35.

A big part of Rockdale's win came down to the chemistry between Greyson Williams and his top target Deandre Stephens. Williams threw for 425 yards and three touchdowns while completing 74.1% of his passes while Stephens picked up 246 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those 246 receiving yards gave Stephens a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Little River Academy didn't have too much trouble with Whitney last Friday as they won 49-30. With that victory, the Bumblebees brought their scoring average up to 29 points per game.
Rockdale better keep an eye on Brian Grissom. He was instrumental in Little River Academy's win, rushing for 140 yards and three TDs, while also catching one touchdown. Grissom is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 140 every time he's taken the field this season.
Little River Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 315 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 187 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Little River Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayvion White and Josh Mann. Another thorn in Whitney's side was Carter Kuhn, who made 19 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Little River Academy's record is now 2-3. As for Rockdale, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Rockdale has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 327.6 passing yards per game. It's a different story for Little River Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 100.2 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?
Rockdale couldn't quite get it done against Little River Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 42-35. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
