The Neosho Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Seneca Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neosho is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Neosho scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Monett with points to spare, taking the game 65-51. With that win, Neosho brought their scoring average up to 51.4 points per game.
Neosho found their leader in underclassman Kaiden Asberry, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Those eight rebounds set a new season-high mark for Asberry. Another player making a difference was Tyrone Harris, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Seneca fought the good fight in their overtime match against Carl Junction on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Bulldogs 73-68. Seneca has struggled against Carl Junction recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Neosho now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Seneca, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Neosho strolled past Seneca in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a score of 72-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Neosho since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
