Indianapolis Washington's tough 56-30 defeat to Indianapolis Crispus Attucks might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Indianapolis Washington in their matchups with Indianapolis Crispus Attucks: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Indianapolis Washington still got an impressive performance from Ta'Laya Peterson, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michelle Martin, who scored six points.
Indianapolis Washington has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Indianapolis Crispus Attucks, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indianapolis Washington will take on Indiana School for the Deaf at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Indiana School for the Deaf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Thursday. Indianapolis Crispus Attucks will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Irvington Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 4th. Irvington Preparatory Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last ten games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
