Nottoway barely beat Cumberland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars blew past the Dukes 9-1 on Tuesday. Considering the Cougars have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Nottoway has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Cumberland, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nottoway will take on Buckingham at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cumberland, they will challenge King & Queen Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
