The Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 53-42 win over Baldwin.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blue Valley Southwest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lily Unruh, who scored ten points along with four steals. Unruh has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Chaput, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds.
Blue Valley Southwest's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Baldwin, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Blue Valley Southwest on the road again on Thursday and play against Lansing at 5:15 p.m. on January 25th. Lansing has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8. As for Baldwin, they will head out on the road to take on Osawatomie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Osawatomie will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 346th, while Baldwin is ranked 144th).
