Berry is 0-7 against Myers Park since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Berry Cardinal will head out on the road to square off against the Myers Park Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, Berry came up short against Harding University and fell 66-58. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Berry in their matchups with Harding University: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, Myers Park had already won 15 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points), and they went ahead and made it 16 on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Olympic 77-34 on the road. Myers Park has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Myers Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bishop Boswell, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton King, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Berry has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Myers Park, their win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-2.
