Chase Harkness tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jason Gregory, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Sigafoose, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
St. Mary's Ryken always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Paul VI is ranked highly in their home state and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Bishop McNamara. Paul VI walked away with an 8-4 victory over Bishop McNamara.
