The Hillcrest Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 26 points or more this season. They breezed by Greenville on the road to the tune of 75-26. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-15.
Leading Hillcrest to victory were Al'Quan Richardson and Robert Simpson. Richardson dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Simpson dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. The game was Simpson's 14th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Bonner, who scored 12 points.
Hillcrest pushed their record up to 13-3 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Greenville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillcrest will take on W.S. Neal at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. W.S. Neal is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Greenville, they will head out on the road to face off against Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carroll presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Greenville in Alabama (Carroll is ranked 51st, while Greenville is ranked 325th).
