After a dominant win in their match two weeks ago, Clayton were humbled last Friday. They suffered a grim 14-41 defeat to Schalick. Clayton's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Dorien Depina, who rushed for 131 yards and 2 touchdowns. Depina has been a consistent playmaker for Clayton as this was the 4th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Maple Shade had enough points to win and then some against Bordentown, taking their game 40-21. The success made it back-to-back wins for Maple Shade.
Maple Shade's victory lifted them to 2-2 while Clayton's defeat dropped them down to 2-2. We'll find out if Maple Shade can add another positive mark to their record or if Clayton can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Maple Shade's step.
