Enka has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Monday. They will face off against the West Henderson Falcons at 8:00 p.m. Hopefully Enka focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
Even though Thomas Jefferson scored an imposing 67 points, Enka still came out on top. Enka took their contest against Thomas Jefferson 76-67.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Enka to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sam Waddell, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Waddell has scored at least 25% of Enka's points. Isaiah Phillips was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, West Henderson pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Hendersonville 61-56. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Henderson in their matchups with Hendersonville: they've now lost seven in a row.
The win got Enka back to even at 1-1. As for West Henderson, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Enka didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against West Henderson when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 67-62 victory. Does Enka have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Henderson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
