Softball Recap: First Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

First Academy and Mount Dora Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but First Academy had to settle for second. They lost 17-1 to the Bulldogs.

First Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayleigh Collop, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.

First Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

First Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, they will face off against Foundation Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
