There's no place like home for the Pueblo Central Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. Everything went their way against Pueblo County on Monday as Pueblo Central made off with a 56-36 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Pueblo Central also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Pueblo Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaime Enciso gonzalez, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Tayvon Evans, who scored ten points along with two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Pueblo County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dominic Mauro. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Mauro also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lowry Kirkland, who scored 11 points.
Pueblo Central pushed their record up to 12-7 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Pueblo County, they will head out on the road to take on Pueblo South at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Pueblo County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Monday.
